Let's talk about maintenance of -oodle fur!
May clients ask us how we are able to get their -oodle's fur looking and feeling in tip top shape, and our magic wands are actually more simple than you would think!
Let's talk about the tools. Our two favorite tools are Chris Christensen's Big G Slicker Brush and a metal comb. These two tools can be found on Amazon here:

The Chris slicker brush is quite expensive, but worth every penny and will last a lifetime. An alternative is the ShowTech Slicker Brush with Long Soft Pins.

The detangler helps with removing tangles as you brush and the Crown Royale spray helps prevent tangles after they are fully removed.
This video is a tutorial on the method we use in order to remove tangles on any dog, not just -oodle breeds.
Remember to use the slicker brush first to loosen tangles, and the comb to check your work!
Make sure to also brush the legs, armpits, tail, under the ears and face of your pet. These are the areas we find the most tangles.
You may also as us in person how to do this method, and our groomers will be more than happy to educate!
Also note that you can brush an area too much, so a safe number of times is about 15 brushes in one spot then give a break so that the skin does not become irritated.
